Walter Dix, United States, sprinter. As a collegiate athlete at Florida State University, Walter Dix won the NCAA 100m title in 2005 and 2007; the NCAA 200m title in 2006, 2007, and 2008; and the NCAA indoor 200m title in 2006 and 2007. He set an NCAA record of 19.69 in the 200m in 2007. After leaving Florida State, Dix qualified for the 2008 (Beijing) U.S. Olympic team, where he captured bronze medals in the 100m dash (9.91) and the 200m dash (19.98).
